About the Grey Chapel
Grey Chapel started with a small irritation and a strong conviction. The irritation: the dark aesthetic, the ghosts, the goblins, the moths, the memento mori, was either reserved for clothes that you almost couldn't wear out in public, or was steeped in association with many extremely dark or selective groups. Then on the other side, you have all the comfortable, soft, and premium t-shirts that have too many bright frilly cutesy things on them, or they outright refuse to get too close to the traditionally dark stuff.
My conviction: all are welcome in the Grey Chapel. You a jock who thinks skulls are cool? Now you can wear one on a shirt without looking like a goth kid. You a goth kid who likes the aesthetic, but not that half your wardrobe looks like silly costumes? It doesn't matter, no matter who you are, the Grey Chapel welcomes you.
Printed to order, for you alone
We don't like to be wasteful. When you place an order, your piece is printed in the USA, as fast as labor laws allow, then it goes straight from the press to your door in 2-5 days. It's slower than really fast fashion by a day or 2, but better than it by every other measure. Nothing wasted, nothing regretted.
Our returns policy is a rite
We call it the Works of Mercy, and it works like this: if something isn't right with your item, wrong size, changed your mind, or even just you didn't love it. Whatever it is, we'll exchange it free for up to 30 days. Plus, we don't want you to send anything back. No labels, no boxes, no post office, it's yours to do with as you see fit. However, the Chapel way is to pass it on to someone in need. Send us a photo or video of you donating your exchange to an organization, and we'll give you $10 of store credit as thanks for doing the good deed. Full terms apply, but that's as clear as it gets.
Who keeps the chapel
Grey Chapel is kept by a small congregation in Texas (not Europe, I know, sorry if the e in Grey Chapel has been bothering you). Designers with a desire to lighten the dark and darken the light. We answer our own emails, and we read every note you send us. If you need anything, the door is open.
